Wknd Life & Motivation

Did anyone else go to see Identity Thief this wknd?  I mean obviously people did since it was like the top film or something.  We had to go late on Sunday because Sat afternoon the guy at the theater told my husband the wait would be a half hour so, after he watched whatever movie’s he liked.  He came home around 6 and we went to a different theater and saw Identity Thief.  Yep, my husband is movie obsessed.  It doesn’t matter that we have a 73 inch screen here.  I actually prefer to stay home in my pajama’s with my animals but whatever.  It was a good movie, I admit, although I think the critics were correct in saying Molly’s character (forget her name) overplayed it a bit.

Today was a really bad Migraine Day.  I had to take two different meds to get rid of it.  Oh, the pain!  I felt like I was getting hit on the side of the head with a bat.  My husband is so good to me and so patient but I know he gets really tired of it and I do too.  I think I am going to see my Neurologist and see about getting my headache meds changed.   I got up and ate something before going back to bed and he took a shower real quick to start his day, while I ate.  He had taken the day off and it must have sucked to have his wife sick half the day.  Then to top it off, Time-Warner decided to quit on us for like 3 hours so we had no phone, internet or computer.  Luckily, we did have some shows already taped which we had access too plus, I am in the middle of reading a really funny book.

I have started working out again.  Let’s see if I can stick with this for a while this time.  My sister fell and broke her arm/shoulder area on one side and her knee/leg area on the other.  Her fall has given me motivation to strengthen my muscles and stay that way.  It’s sad if that is what it took for a lifestyle change but.. I have a program for Wii titled, Fit-In-Six. and I am amazed at all the options.  I worked on my core a few days ago and I thought I would never move my abs again.  Then, yesterday it was a walk around the park.  Today it was the exercise bicycle for 30 minutes.  I guess I am doing what you call ‘circuit training” and doing something different every day so as not to get my muscles used to the same thing over and over every day.  I also have Wii Sports which I love, especially Tennis.

Writing Wknd & Witnessing Twilight LIne

I have 9 days to complete my novel for Nano and I’ve just done the math.  I need to write 1870 words a day.  I wrote 1869 today so I  know I can do this.  I have never written this much in my life in succession like this; and I don’t want to get Carpal Tunnel or something as my wrist is getting sore.

I also have quite a bit to do this week before the surgery on the 27th.

It’s a good thing my husband and I are not really into the whole Thanksgiving thing.  We like to eat but I am Gluten-Intolerant and my husband is happy enough with take-out.  Plus, we are not into tons of family..  It is mainly his family anyway as most of mine don’t live nearby.  His aren’t really nearby either.  It actually takes about 5 hours to visit them.

The wknd has been quiet with lots of writing accomplished and on Friday, we drove by the local theatre to see the line for Twilight.  It was insane.  I can’t imagine myself waiting in a line for a movie.  It’s a movie!  The celebrities aren’t even there, plus, it’s not the old stage play movie like, Rocky Horror where people actually acted out the scenes and you got to throw popcorn, etc.

It just amazed me all the “Twi-Hards” as they called them in the paper, camping out by the theatre.

Would you spend the night waiting for a movie?  Just curious.

Day of Mentalness

Yesterday I visited my doctor at CHOC.  Yes, I’m an adult and still visit a Children’s Hospital due to my metabolic disorder.  It’s always fun when the nurse comes in and having not read the notes looks at you with surprise and confirms, “You’re the patient?”  I am gaining weight which is good (can we say more new clothes in the near future?) and they upped my Protein to 44 grams a day.  This is interesting because what they are doing is slowly upping my Protein to see how much I can handle.  With my disease, I am supposed to be on a low-protein diet so technically they are raising it to see what will make me sick.  Fun.

I use a cup to mix my formula which makes a total mess.  The lid either goes on to loose or to tight and and if you don’t hold it correctly, formula goes everywhere.  They told me about a cup called Sensa which supposedly has a ball in it that helps to mix the formula as well as has a better lid so I ordered one yesterday.  I also get to try a formula which is already mixed up.  I like the idea of it being already mixed up provided it doesn’t taste like crap.

After the doctor appointment yesterday, I had a Therapist appointment in the afternoon.

So, my day yesterday was really mental.

I am so happy my marriage is going well right now.  I love my husband so much.

The issues I deal with now have to do with my family.  Choices they have made which affect me indirectly but also directly in a way because I used to be semi-close to one of these relatives and I will really miss one of them.  Have you ever seen the movie, ‘South Pacific?’  There’s a song I’m thinking of now… this is the part I remember that relates.

“You’ve got to be taught before it’s to late.  Before you are 6 or 7 or 8.

To hate all the people your relatives hate, You’ve got to be carefully taught.

You’ve got to be carefully taught.”

The other mental aspect now is the person in my mind that will be… until I know for sure that he is dead.

Needless to say, today I need to get dressed and partake in some physical activities.  I do have one more doc appointment as well.  this one I am looking forward to a bit as I am sincerely hoping for some help.
