Wknd Life & Motivation

Did anyone else go to see Identity Thief this wknd?  I mean obviously people did since it was like the top film or something.  We had to go late on Sunday because Sat afternoon the guy at the theater told my husband the wait would be a half hour so, after he watched whatever movie’s he liked.  He came home around 6 and we went to a different theater and saw Identity Thief.  Yep, my husband is movie obsessed.  It doesn’t matter that we have a 73 inch screen here.  I actually prefer to stay home in my pajama’s with my animals but whatever.  It was a good movie, I admit, although I think the critics were correct in saying Molly’s character (forget her name) overplayed it a bit.

Today was a really bad Migraine Day.  I had to take two different meds to get rid of it.  Oh, the pain!  I felt like I was getting hit on the side of the head with a bat.  My husband is so good to me and so patient but I know he gets really tired of it and I do too.  I think I am going to see my Neurologist and see about getting my headache meds changed.   I got up and ate something before going back to bed and he took a shower real quick to start his day, while I ate.  He had taken the day off and it must have sucked to have his wife sick half the day.  Then to top it off, Time-Warner decided to quit on us for like 3 hours so we had no phone, internet or computer.  Luckily, we did have some shows already taped which we had access too plus, I am in the middle of reading a really funny book.

I have started working out again.  Let’s see if I can stick with this for a while this time.  My sister fell and broke her arm/shoulder area on one side and her knee/leg area on the other.  Her fall has given me motivation to strengthen my muscles and stay that way.  It’s sad if that is what it took for a lifestyle change but.. I have a program for Wii titled, Fit-In-Six. and I am amazed at all the options.  I worked on my core a few days ago and I thought I would never move my abs again.  Then, yesterday it was a walk around the park.  Today it was the exercise bicycle for 30 minutes.  I guess I am doing what you call ‘circuit training” and doing something different every day so as not to get my muscles used to the same thing over and over every day.  I also have Wii Sports which I love, especially Tennis.

Headaches & Wii

I am trying to fight my headaches without meds for a bit.  This is tough.  Tylenol can cause rebound headaches and so can my Imatrex so the best bet is when I get a headache to just use my Head-On (which they don’t make anymore) and try t o go to sleep.  Unless it is a killer migraine in which case; I will have to take my Imatrex.  I know the difference in headaches though and last night wasn’t.  Needless to say, this month at least, I’ve taken to many darn pills.  Of course, this weather doesn’t help.  We had one nice day and now the rain is back.  Totally annoying.

I worked out for 50 minutes yesterday to the Wii.  Okay, actually, I played Wii Sports but to me that is working out and according to the Wii, it is too.  My Wii Fitness age went down from age 80 to 67 so I’m on the right track (hey, maybe I’ll actually reach the age I really am soon) but for the life of me; I could not win a tennis match.

Sorry so long..No excuses

Gosh, I hadn’t realized how long it’s been since I’ve written.  I try to write at least every other day.  I won’t use the I’ve been sick excuse (although I have) because that would be annoying and you would get tired of hearing it.  I just finished the last day of my Z-Pack today and started feeling a bit better yesterday.

I just finished playing Wii for an hour.  I consider that a work-out.  It was Wii Bowling, Tennis, Ping-Pong, etc.  but it still kept me moving so it is still considered fitness for this girl.

The weather today is cold for us.  I say for us because if I whine about the weather to much, my relatives in WA like to remind me that they have snow or are freezing or whatever; like it makes a difference.  I don’t choose to live in those type area’s where it is even colder to affect my headaches and sinuses.  I am not a cold weather person at all.

I saw my Metabolic Specialist yesterday who was quite impressed with the changes I’ve been making since I started seeing him.  Although I do need tokeep taking my pills correctly.  It gets tough sometimes with as many pills as I have to take; but that’s why I am on disability and it is nobody elses responsibility but my own.

As my husband keeps reminding me; my health is the most important thing in my life to keep track of.

Life at present.

All my pre-tests are done for surgery and my novel is almost complete for Nano.  The ending is tough but it is writing itself.  I do believe I’ve got the ending in my head figured out.  Bad english, let’s try that again… I do believe I have the ending figured out in my head.

My Christmas shopping is completely finished as I do it all on-line.  I even bought a few extra items for people I don’t usually buy for.

Plus, my husband bought me a Wii with the Wii Sports and Sports Resort for an early B-Day present.  It is so cool.  It gets me  off the couch now and really does get me sweating playing bowling and tennis, etc.  I look forward to recovering from surgery and doing even more.

So, that’s life right now, as I know it.
